South Coast ESD serves the communities of Coos, Curry, and Western Douglas counties in Oregon. Established in 1961, Oregon’s ESDs provide regional support, ensuring equitable and efficient services for local schools.

We partner with ten school districts—Bandon, Brookings-Harbor, Central Curry, Coos Bay, Coquille, Myrtle Point, North Bend, Port Orford-Langlois, Powers, and Reedsport—supporting over 13,000 students across the region.

Over the years, SCESD has expanded its services to address the evolving needs of its districts. These services encompass special education, instructional support, technology integration, and early childhood education programs. The primary goals of SCESD are to improve student learning, enhance instructional equality, provide professional development, ensure equitable access to resources, and maximize operation efficiencies for its component school districts.
