How can Healthy Families Help?
Family Support Specialists empower and support parents in cultivating and strengthening a nurturing, positive relationship with their baby. Home visits can take place in a variety of settings. Visits are family-centered and strength-based focusing on establishing a trusting relationship while assisting with strengthening parent/child attachment and bonding, improving the family support system, and increasing the family’s ability to manage stress, work toward goals, and problem-solve.
We can help Parents:
Create a safe and nurturing environment.
Make informed parenting choices that contribute to family health and wellness.
Learn activities to do with their child that foster development and attachment.
Prepare their child to be school-ready.
Access community resources and educational opportunities.
Learn evidence-based information on topics such as child development, infant care, and keeping their baby healthy.
